Not medical advice
The information on this website is offered to help you understand addiction, recovery and the support we provide. It is general information and is not a substitute for a personal assessment, diagnosis or treatment by a qualified professional. Please speak to our team or a health worker about your own situation.
Emergencies
Our website, forms and messaging channels are not emergency services and are not monitored around the clock. If someone’s health or life is at risk, please go to the nearest hospital or to Butabika National Referral Hospital in Kampala.
Using the site
Please use the site lawfully and respectfully. You must not try to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, interfere with its security or operation, send spam or harmful code, or submit content that is false, abusive, discriminatory or that breaks the law.
Stories and submissions
When you share a story or photo, you confirm that it is your own, or that you have permission to share it, and that it does not identify anyone else without their consent.
You keep ownership of your story. You give us permission to edit it lightly for length, clarity and safety, and to publish it on this website and in our awareness work. We review every submission before publishing and may decline any submission. You can ask us to remove your story at any time.
Donations
Online donations are processed by Donorbox under its own terms. Mobile Money gifts are arranged directly with our team. Donations are voluntary gifts and are generally not refundable, but if you have made a mistake please contact us promptly and we will do our best to help.
Our content
The text, design, photographs and logo on this site belong to Voices of Recovery Movement or are used with permission. You are welcome to share links to our pages. Please contact us before reusing our content elsewhere.
Links to other sites
We link to other websites and services such as Donorbox, WhatsApp and Google Maps. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Liability
We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be complete, current or free from interruption. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the law of Uganda.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda have jurisdiction over any dispute.
